Workflow, a London-based AI software company founded by former Instagram and Yelp team members, has raised €2.8 million in pre-seed funding. The round was led by Venrex, with participation from 8VC, Sequoia scouts, Octopus, and Index Ventures, along with backing from notable industry founders.

Workflow’s platform addresses the challenges faced by design, marketing, and product teams working with digital assets, such as designs and videos. By integrating AI, the startup provides smart feedback on brand consistency, accessibility, and design standards, acting as an “intelligent partner” that fits seamlessly with tools like Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud. Additionally, insights from third-party sources, such as Nielsen, enable teams to optimize conversion rates and mitigate regulatory risks.

Co-founder Will Taylor, who previously led product at Rota, explained the vision: “AI is transforming creative work, which now grows by 30% annually. Workflow’s AI-driven system enables teams to handle an increasing workload, allowing creatives to focus on meaningful work instead of routine checks.”

Bridging Gaps Between Creatives and Non-Professionals

As generative AI becomes more prevalent, non-creatives are increasingly tasked with digital content creation. Workflow’s platform offers AI-driven tools to enhance quality and efficiency for both experienced creatives and those new to design. Co-founder Paul Sangle noted, “Our AI reviewer assists creatives in refining their work, from accessibility checks for non-native speakers to regulatory guidance for marketers in highly regulated sectors.”

Empowering Creativity with AI

Workflow’s vision, as articulated by co-founder Allis Yao, is to bring the structured support seen in software development to creative processes: “We aim to automate routine tasks like error-checking, enabling creatives to concentrate on high-impact work.”

With this funding, Workflow will further develop its platform, supporting global clients in enhancing productivity and collaboration across creative disciplines.
