The Hague-based startup Uprent has raised €200,000 in a pre-seed funding round to transform the rental search process using artificial intelligence. The investor remains anonymous.
Yury Vilenskiy, co-founder and CEO of Uprent, stated, “This investment will accelerate our growth and bring our vision to life. We aim to help people find rentals quickly, distribute tenant flow from Randstad to other parts of the country, and reduce rental transaction costs.”
Vilenskiy expressed pride in achieving this milestone in the Netherlands, highlighting the challenges internationals face in raising capital there. “We love this country, its culture, and are grateful for the opportunity to benefit local people,” he added.
What Uprent Offers
The AI-powered browser extension streamlines the rental search process, removing inefficiencies and saving users time. The company helps people find rental homes quickly, redistributes tenant flow from densely populated areas like Amsterdam and Rotterdam, and reduces rental transaction costs by up to 20 percent of the annual rent.
Founded by Aleksandr Chistiakov (CTO) and Yury Vilenskiy (CEO), Uprent aims to simplify and make the rental search process as unbiased as possible. The founders, best friends and collaborators since 2016, were motivated by their own rent-hunting struggles to create this solution.
“We collaborated with the best real estate agents to get their expertise and give our users an unfair advantage,” said Vilenskiy. “Now, with Uprent, we’re on a mission to simplify the rental search for as many people as possible.”
With this funding, the startup is set to revolutionize the rental market, making it more efficient and accessible for users across the Netherlands.
