Amsterdam-based tech startup Seenons has announced the acquisition of Waste Group Denmark, a strategic move to bolster its European operations and solidify its status as a leading waste management platform in Europe. This acquisition follows Seenons’ purchase of Recycling Partners Belgium (RPB) last year.
Waste Group Denmark, headquartered in Roskilde, specializes in optimizing waste management processes for companies, offering services such as waste analysis, invoice control, and reporting. With this acquisition, the dutch startup aims to enhance its ability to reduce waste and support the transition to a circular economy across Denmark and beyond.
Driving Innovation in Circular Waste Management
Founded in 2019, Seenons operates a circular waste management platform that prevents residual waste from ending up in landfills, oceans, or incinerators. The company currently serves 15,000 locations across the Benelux region, collaborating with 300 partners to manage 100 different types of business waste. The company’s integration with Waste Group Denmark’s expertise will strengthen its capacity to assist companies in Denmark in adopting sustainable waste practices.
Supporting International Growth
This acquisition is part of Seenons’ broader strategy to expand internationally, backed by a recent investment round with contributions from Invest-NL, Swiss Post VC, Capital T, Shamrock Ventures, and others. The firm is poised to leverage its advanced software and the knowledge of Waste Group Denmark to further its mission of creating a waste-free world.
