Paris-based Samp, a developer of AI-driven digital twin solutions for industrial sites, has raised €6 million in a funding round led by Promus Ventures, with participation from Kvanted. The funding will help Samp expand its AI-based platform, which provides real-time, updateable digital twins to enhance efficiency, safety, and sustainability for industrial infrastructure, especially in sectors like water and energy.
Founded in 2019 by Shivani Shah and Laurent Bourgouin, Samp’s “Shared Reality” platform integrates AI and 3D scanning technology to create digital twins of industrial sites. These digital models streamline operations by offering real-time insights for maintenance, inspections, and modifications, helping industrial sites transition to more sustainable practices. Samp’s technology simplifies infrastructure management by combining up-to-date 3D images with outdated technical documentation, improving decision-making and reducing operational risks.
Accelerating Growth and International Expansion
With its technology already deployed at over 150 industrial sites across France, including partners like Engie, SUEZ, and VEOLIA, the company aims to further scale its operations. The fresh capital will be used to expand the company’s sales team, advance R&D in AI and 3D technologies, and prepare for international expansion, addressing global demand for intelligent industrial solutions.
Supporting Industrial Transformation and Decarbonization
The startup’s goal is to be the leading provider of intelligent 3D scans, helping industrial players modernize outdated systems and accelerate their shift towards sustainable production. The company’s solutions contribute to improved site resilience, safety, and environmental impact reduction, aligning with industry-wide goals for decarbonization.
