Photoroom, a leading AI photo editor based in Paris, has announced a successful Series B funding round of $43M (approximately €39.73M), bringing its total raised funding to $64M (approximately €59.14M). The round was led by existing investor Balderton Capital, with new investor Aglaé, and participation from YCombinator.

Founded in 2019, the french firm offers photo editing software that enables the creation of impressive images without the need for extensive training.

Using deep learning, the platform translates pixels into objects, streamlining tasks like background removal and object deletion, and simplifying non-creative processes in photo editing. With over 150 million downloads, Photoroom processes over 5 billion images annually and is available across mobile, web, and through an API in over 180 countries.
Introducing Photoroom Instant Diffusion for Product Photography
Following the unveiling of its first foundation model, Photoroom Instant Diffusion (Photoroom ID), designed exclusively for product photography, Photoroom aims to empower businesses to create amazing product photos without needing to be experts in prompt engineering or photography.
