Paris-based Opus Major, a game studio founded in 2023, has secured €9.2 million ($10M) in seed funding to develop a multiplayer game centered on music.
The round was led by Griffin Gaming Partners, with participation from early investor Alven.
Blending Music and Gaming for an Interactive Experience
Opus Major’s upcoming game, Opus #1, integrates music into gameplay, allowing players to:
- Form bands and collaborate in a musical adventure.
- Use music as a core mechanic to influence the game world.
- Engage in a social multiplayer experience driven by rhythm and creativity.
The founders, Jean-Nicolas Vernin and Pierre-Armand Nicq, describe their vision:
