Kameo, a Stockholm-based investment platform that specializes in facilitating direct investments in property project loans across Scandinavia, has successfully raised €1.29M in a new funding round. The investment was led by Stockholm’s Incore Invest as part of a larger €2.26M share issuance, demonstrating strong backing for Kameo’s innovative loan marketplace solution aimed at democratizing access to secured real estate investments.
Founded in 2016, Kameo has been at the forefront of opening up investment opportunities, connecting over 65,000 retail and institutional investors with secure loans for real estate projects in Scandinavia. This approach provides flexible financing for real estate developers and has facilitated over 1,000 loans totaling more than NOK 5B, offering investors an average net return of over 9% annually.
Strategic Growth and Expansion Plans
The fresh capital from Incore Invest will support the startup’s strategic growth and expansion efforts, with the aim to double the value of facilitated loans in 2024 and 2025. Nicolai Chamizo, CEO of Incore Invest, will join Kameo’s board in an advisory role, providing oversight during this period of expansion.
