Berlin-based financial tax platform Taxfix has announced its acquisition of London-based TaxScouts, a company specializing in accountant-assisted digital tax filing. This strategic move marks the german firm’s entry into the UK market and strengthens its position in European financial technology, extending its services across Germany, the UK, Spain, and Italy.
Although the transaction terms remain undisclosed, this acquisition aligns with Taxfix’s international growth strategy. Founded in 2017, TaxScouts has built a significant presence in the UK and Spain, supported by over 150 tax accountants. By combining TaxScouts’ expertise in tax accountant support with Taxfix’s self-service tax filing and expanding tax expert services, the merged entity aims to provide superior customer experiences and streamline the tax filing process for more people.
Leadership and Team Integration
Post-acquisition, TaxScouts’ team of 40 will integrate with Taxfix. Malcolm Cowley, CEO of TaxScouts, will continue to lead the team within the Taxfix Group. Co-founders Kaupo Korv and Daniel Karger will remain as Chief Product Officer and Chief Technology Officer, respectively, working closely with the german leadership team.
