Genezio, a Bucharest-based startup offering a type-safe serverless platform for modern full-stack developers, has successfully raised $2M (approximately €1.8M) in a pre-seed funding round. This round marks the first investment from Gapminder Ventures’ second fund, with additional participation from Underline Ventures and a consortium of angel investors.
Founded in 2023 by a team of tech visionaries including Andrei Pitis (CEO), Bogdan Ripa (CPO), Bogdan Vlad (CTO), and Paula Cionca (CMO), Genezio is set to revolutionize the way developers create apps. The platform aims to automate the app creation process, saving developers time and enhancing productivity by handling deployment, automated testing, and hosting at scale. “Genezio is designed to be future-proof, maximizing developer productivity and minimizing bugs,” stated CEO Andrei Pitis.
Optimizing Cloud Deployment for Efficiency
Genezio’s platform stands out for its optimization of cloud deployment, creating a dense execution environment that saves on power, memory, and cost. The company reports that thousands of developers have already benefited from the platform, significantly reducing the time to market for their apps.
