London-based Bidstack is a game monetization and advertising platform that recently raised $11 million, including a $6 million strategic investment from digital world leader Irdeto.
Milestone after milestone has been reached with $42M collected overall; this is the most money ever raised for any company in the in-game advertising industry.
Money provided by the funding will enable the company to implement the growth strategy implemented after Jude O’Connor recently joined the company as Chief Revenue Officer.
In-Game Advertising
James Draper founded Bidstack as a video game and advertising monetization platform. Using its natural advertising space, brands can utilize Bidstack to place ads throughout video games without negatively impacting the game play.
Any relevant locations, such as cityscape billboards, trackside banners or people’s skins, can be placed within the metaverse. Alternatively, participating brands can use pitch-side LED boards, skins or any other relevant spaces.
World-class game publishers such as Sports Interactive, Codemasters and Take-Two Interactive use Bidstack’s services. Their campaigns have earned many awards, including a Grand Prix for Marriott Bonvoy and a Grand Prix for Doritos.
The company has over 80 staff working in five international locations. They’re a public company listed on the London Stock Exchange.
James Draper, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Bidstack, states that the company has received the first strategic investment from Irdeto B.V., a part of the Multichoice Group. Irdeto specializes in cybersecurity for the entertainment and gaming industry; its Denuvo subsidiary is considered the world’s leading anti-cheat software across some of the most popular video game franchises and platforms. Because of Irdeto’s presence in both these sectors, James predicts that the two companies will work together to collaborate as strategic partners.
