Oslo-based startup Findable, specializing in AI-driven building documentation management, has raised €9 million in a Series A funding round led by Point Nine, with participation from KOMPAS VC, Construct Venture, and Lake Eight. The funds will be used to expand Findable’s product and international presence, following its recent UK launch.
Findable tackles the long-standing issue of disorganized building documentation. By automating the sorting, filing, and retrieval of complex building records, the platform helps facility managers, building owners, and contractors save time while maintaining compliance and efficiency. Since its founding in 2020, Findable has processed over 2 million documents for major clients, including OBOS, KLP, Alti, and VELUX.
Enhancing Safety and Sustainability
With its technology, the company aims to not only improve operational efficiency but also contribute to sustainability by supporting the built environment’s transition towards net-zero emissions. The company’s platform helps manage the extensive documentation needed for environmental certifications and compliance with new European sustainability regulations, including the EU’s Energy Performance of Buildings Directive and the UK’s Building Safety Act.
A Mission to Prevent Building Accidents
The startup’s CEO, Fredrik Halmøy Wisløff, emphasized the company’s commitment to reducing risks in the property sector: “We are creating a solution that eases regulatory burdens and proactively prevents tragic building accidents.” The company plans to double its workforce and continue developing technology that enhances building safety across Europe.
