Coimbra-based Eneida, a company specializing in Neighbourhood Grid Intelligence for Zero Emission Neighbourhoods (ZEN), has secured €10.5 million in a Series B funding round. The round was led by Junction Growth Investors, with additional investments from Santander Alternative Investments, Korys, HCapital, and the company’s founders.
The new funding will accelerate Eneida’s research and development efforts to further refine its technology for grid operators and new energy players. The company aims to expand its business and operational analytics platform, making ZEN accessible to a broader audience.
Carlos Pina Teixeira, CEO of Eneida, expressed enthusiasm for the new investors: “We are delighted to welcome Junction and Santander as our new shareholders. This funding reflects the confidence and support of our investors, led by Korys, in our strategic direction. It will fuel our efforts to provide exceptional value to our customers, drive innovation, and expand our market reach to make ZEN a reality for everyone.”
Innovative Solutions for Grid Operators
Eneida’s solution provides clear situational awareness, detects and locates events and anomalies, and optimizes the low-voltage grid without requiring costly infrastructure upgrades. It supports the rapid adoption of distributed assets like solar panels, EV chargers, behind-the-meter batteries, and heat pumps, promoting economic efficiency and higher-quality energy solutions.
The company’s Operational Analytics platform, eneida DeepGrid, integrates smart sensor networks with data analytics and follows an open, modular, and interoperable architecture. Clients can deploy the entire solution or individual modules tailored to their operational needs for optimal low voltage network management. Eneida currently operates across Europe, Africa, Australia, and New Zealand.
