Paris-based Doctolib, a leading provider of innovative services for healthcare professionals, has acquired Berlin’s AI-driven phone assistant solution provider, Aaron.ai, to strengthen its presence in Germany and enhance its product offerings.
The acquisition was announced via a LinkedIn post by Chiara Baroni, Doctolib’s Communications Director in Germany. This strategic move is part of the firm’s broader effort to invest in AI and product innovations that facilitate better healthcare delivery for doctors, nurses, and patients.
With the integration of Aaron.ai, Doctolib will offer multiple communication channels, ensuring accessibility even for those not using apps or computers. In Germany, where many doctor’s offices spend about 45 hours monthly answering phone calls, this partnership aims to alleviate the burden on healthcare staff and improve patient accessibility.
Statements from Key Leaders
Tobias Wagenführer, CEO of Aaron.ai, expressed his excitement about the merger, stating, “Together, we can now offer the best product to relieve the burden on healthcare employees – and achieve our vision even faster.”
Initially, Aaron.ai will continue to operate independently of Doctolib. However, by the end of 2024, it will integrate with Doctolib’s calendar system to facilitate automatic appointment scheduling. By 2025, full integration will be achieved, offering a comprehensive healthcare solution.
