Deltia.ai, a Berlin-based computer vision software company, recently secured €4.5 million in a seed funding round led by Cavalry Ventures, with additional support from existing investor Merantix and several prominent investors including Nico Peters, Willi Tscheschner, Max Viessmann, Walter Kortschak, Christian Dahlen, Edward Grefenstette, Robin Capital, and Combination Ventures.
Founded in 2022 by Maximilian Fischer and Silviu Homoceanu, Deltia.ai leverages AI and computer vision technologies to digitize and optimize manual production processes like assembly, packaging, and machinery adjustments. The startup’s solutions aim to address the skilled labor shortage by enhancing the productivity and efficiency of existing workforce and processes.
Funding Utilization and Strategic Growth
The investment will be used to accelerate customer onboarding, enhance AI capabilities for machining processes, and integrate data from customer IT systems. Deltia.ai plans to expand its go-to-market team to extend its product reach to more factories over the next 18-24 months, targeting industries such as machinery manufacturing, electronics production, and logistics.
Propelling Industrial Innovation
Deltia.ai’s innovative platform analyzes factors such as hand movements and cycle times to identify inefficiencies, proposing methods to streamline operations. The system, which runs lightweight neural networks on edge devices within the factories, ensures data security and privacy by adhering to strict European data protection standards.
Vision for the Future
Maximilian Fischer, Co-founder and CEO of Deltia.ai, emphasized the transformative impact of their technology, stating, “Our vision propels us towards a future where proficient workers receive support from cutting-edge technology, enhancing efficiency and facilitating effective communication of their expertise.”
With this funding, Deltia.ai is well-positioned to lead the charge in the industrial revolution by integrating AI to support and improve the workforce, setting the stage for a future where human capabilities and AI innovation collectively drive productivity and excellence to new heights.
