Contribe from Denmark secures €1M to expand its Social Impact Platform

Copenhagen-based startup Contribe, which enhances the online shopping experience by integrating social impact, has secured €1 million in funding. The investment comes from Rockstart, Human Act Development, EIFO, and a group of notable business angels, including Morten Bæhrenz, Jonatan Hjortdal, and Maria Krogh.

Founded in 2023 by Christoffer Winther Bouet, Tobias Ørskov Madsen, and Lasse Viggo, Contribe offers a unique platform that allows users to support various social causes with every purchase, without additional costs. The company plans to use the newly secured funds to accelerate its growth and expand its reach globally. With this funding, the startup aims to develop its product further and enter new markets, leveraging the power of positive impact to drive business success.

Making Every Purchase Count

Contribe’s platform currently supports a range of causes, including education, mental health, women’s empowerment, and healthcare. Since its launch, the startup has attracted over 100 online stores and reached 100,000 users worldwide. The platform includes partnerships with brands like MessyWeekend, Copenhagen Cartel, Sinatur Hotel & Conference, and Understatement.

The goal is to increase its user base to 1 million by the end of 2025, making it easier for consumers to contribute to meaningful causes through their everyday purchases. With this latest funding round, the danish firm is well-positioned to continue its mission of making every purchase a force for good.
