Antwerp-based ClimateCamp has secured €3.5 million in seed funding to scale its platform that helps companies measure, report, and reduce Scope 3 emissions—the indirect emissions tied to supply chains and product lifecycles.
The round was led by Expon Capital, with support from VLAIO, Luxembourg’s Ministry of the Economy, KBC, PMV, and Birdhouse Ventures.
Tackling One of the Biggest Climate Challenges
Scope 3 emissions account for over 85% of a company’s total footprint, yet are notoriously difficult to track. ClimateCamp’s platform enables companies to:
- Engage suppliers directly in emissions tracking
- Collect and process sustainability data using AI
- Align with Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi)
- Create collaborative decarbonisation strategies across their value chains
What sets ClimateCamp apart is its emphasis on supplier relationships, using 30-minute calls alongside digital tools to ensure both accuracy and engagement.
“ClimateCamp is the best platform to engage suppliers at scale,” said CEO and co-founder Stijn Gysemans. “Our mission is to connect 1 million companies by 2030 to drive real emissions reductions.”typical interface to the end-user but provides deep protection and compliance tools in the background.
Expanding from Beer to Broader Industries
Initially focused on the brewing sector, ClimateCamp has since expanded to serve food manufacturers and packaging businesses, now supporting over 800 companies with a goal of 2,000 by year-end.
The startup was founded in 2022 by Stijn Gysemans, Vitalie Schiopu, Laurent Moyersoen, and Ruben Pelckmans, and operates in Belgium and Luxembourg with a growing team of 18+.
Positioned for a Changing Regulatory Landscape
As Europe updates its Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and global ESG frameworks evolve, ClimateCamp is helping businesses move from compliance to action.
With its fresh funding, the statup is poised to become a leading player in supply chain decarbonisation, offering companies a scalable and collaborative way to meet climate targets and adapt to the next wave of sustainability regulations.
