Privacy Policy

Welcome!

We take the protection of your data very seriously. We store and process as little personal data as possible, treat it confidentially and act in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations and this data protection declaration.

As little as possible

Our website can be used without providing personal data. Insofar as personal data (e.g. name or e-mail addresses) is collected on our website, this is always done on a voluntary basis and with an explicit reference to the purpose of use. This data will not be passed on to third parties without your express consent.

Cookies & Google Analytics

Internet pages sometimes use so-called cookies, we do not. Well, Google Analytics uses cookies and we use Google Analytics. The provider is Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheater Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. We have concluded a corresponding contract for the order data agreement with the provider.

We use Google Analytics to measure which articles on TrendingTopics.at are accessed, how often and for how long, and which devices and browsers (e.g. iPhone, Android, Firefox, Chrome) our users use to access the website. This is important feedback for us so that we can learn which content is well received by users and which devices they prefer to use to access the website.

Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”. These are text files that are stored on your computer and that enable an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there for 16 months.

The only personal data that is recorded is the IP address. However, this is pseudonymised by Google before it is stored by deleting the last 8 bits of the IP address. If you do not want this, you can prevent this using a browser add-on offered by Google and which can be found here.

Newsletter

You can also subscribe to our articles in the form of a newsletter. We will then send you regular emails with our best articles. We use the MailChimp newsletter service for this purpose. The provider is The Rocket Science Group, LLC, 675 Ponce de Leon Ave NE, Suite 5000, Atlanta, GA 30308 USA. We have concluded a corresponding contract for order data processing with the provider.

When you subscribe to our newsletter, you send your email address to MailChimp via a form on our site. The data is transmitted to a server in the USA. You can change or delete your data at any time – you will find a corresponding link in every newsletter e-mail that you receive from us.

SSL Encryption

This site uses SSL encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as requests that you send to us as the site operator. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from “http://” to “https://” and by the lock symbol in your browser line.

If SSL encryption is activated, the data that you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

Right to Information, Deletion, Blocking

You have the right to information about your personal data stored by us, its origin and recipient and the purpose of the data processing as well as a right to correction, blocking or deletion of this data at any time. You can contact us at any time at news@new.founderstoday.news or under the contact details given in the imprint if you have any other questions that this data protection declaration on the subject of data protection could not answer.

If you have the feeling that the processing of your data violates data protection law or your data protection rights have otherwise been violated in any way, you can complain to the supervisory authority. In Austria, this is the data protection authority.
