Stuttgart-based Sereact, a pioneering AI robotics company, has secured €25 million in a Series A funding round to expand the deployment of its Vision Language Action Models (VLAM) for autonomous robots.
The funding round was led by Creandum, with participation from existing investors Point Nine and Air Street Capital, alongside notable angel investors, including former Formula 1 champion Nico Rosberg, and industry veterans from DeepMind, Skype, and more.
Revolutionizing Robotics with AI
Founded in 2021, Sereact is transforming automation in logistics and manufacturing through its flagship solution, PickGPT, an AI model that enables robots to adapt to dynamic tasks in real time using zero-shot reasoning and natural language instructions. Unlike traditional robots that follow rigid programming, Sereact’s AI-powered systems can perceive, analyze, and autonomously respond to complex environments.
CEO & Co-Founder Ralf Gulde stated:
“With our technology, robots act situationally rather than following rigid sequences. This level of autonomy unlocks new possibilities for industries seeking flexible automation.”
Market Adoption and Expansion Plans
Since emerging from stealth in 2023, the startup has gained traction with major clients, including BMW, Daimler Truck, Bol, and Active Ants, leveraging its AI to optimize warehouse operations and logistics.
The new funding will enable Sereact to:
- Expand R&D efforts, focusing on integrating with mobile and humanoid robot platforms.
- Develop advanced AI solutions for industries beyond logistics, such as healthcare and construction.
- Grow its US market presence through strategic partnerships and local hiring initiatives.
Investor Confidence in AI-Driven Automation
Johan Brenner, General Partner at Creandum, highlighted the company’s potential:
“Sereact’s software-first approach positions them as the brain behind any robot requiring vision and autonomy. The opportunities for disruption across multiple industries are immense.”
Scaling AI for the Future
With this latest investment, Sereact aims to set new benchmarks in robotic autonomy, efficiency, and adaptability, shaping the future of automation across global markets.
