French AI startup Mago has raised €1.5 million in a pre-seed funding round led by Atlantic Labs. The funding will support team expansion, accelerate product development, and prepare for a market launch in early 2025.
Founded by Alvaro Lamarche Toloza and Aleksandr Spirin, Mago offers AI tools that transform and stylize videos, catering to creative professionals. The platform builds on Spirin’s WarpFusion, an open-source video style transfer project that has garnered over 150 million views and been used in professional productions like TV series and music videos.
“Our technology can instantly transform live footage into animation, oil paintings, or any visual style, maintaining professional-grade quality,” explained co-founder Lamarche Toloza. Mago provides a user-friendly interface for creators to stylize videos, accelerate production pipelines, and amplify creative capabilities while preserving human creativity.
Flexible Solutions for Creative Workflows
The offerings will include subscription-based (SaaS) and on-premise options, as well as a free version. Future updates will enable integration with popular tools like Unreal Engine and Blender, making the platform accessible for diverse creative workflows.
