The province of Noord-Brabant has launched BOOST (Brabant Supporting Organisation Student Teams), a €2.8 million initiative aimed at accelerating innovation among students across the region.
This new platform, funded by Provincie Noord-Brabant, is the largest student-focused subsidy fund in the Netherlands, providing support to students in vocational, professional, and university-level programs in Brabant.
Empowering Future Innovators
BOOST, a non-profit collaboration among 10 educational institutions, serves over 150,000 students with resources, funding, and events to support innovations that address social and technological challenges. The program offers two main grants: the Innovation Grant (up to €40,000) for advanced projects and the Kickstarter Grant (up to €1,500) for early-stage ideas.
Creating Opportunities for Regional Impact
Chairman Nick Hol highlighted that BOOST will act as a development agency for student-led projects, enabling young talent to make a meaningful impact within Brabant. The program also provides an online platform with additional resources and plans for scholarships and visibility initiatives.
Provincial Administrator Martijn van Gruijthuijsen emphasized the importance of supporting student talent to foster smart solutions for current and future challenges. The platform aims to harness this potential, offering students the means to develop impactful ideas for the region.
