Augsburg-based Reonic, a climate tech SaaS company, has raised €13 million in a Series A funding round led by Northzone, with participation from existing investors Point Nine and Puzzle Ventures. The startup provides end-to-end software solutions tailored for installers of renewable energy technology, addressing a significant gap in the market for specialized digital tools.

Reonic’s platform automates key processes for installers, offering tools for lead management, CRM, project design, procurement, and billing. Founded in 2021 by Tristan Menzinger, Lars-Manuel Schneider, and Udo Sill, the company was born out of demand from energy technology installers seeking a digital solution to streamline their operations. Today, Reonic supports over 200,000 regional installers across Europe, helping drive the continent’s energy transition.

Scaling Operations and Expanding Markets

With the new funding, Reonic plans to expand its presence across Europe, starting with France, and enter the commercial photovoltaic (PV) market while also covering heat pumps and energy storage systems. The startup has recently opened a second office in Berlin and plans to increase its workforce, which currently includes 21 team members.

Building Momentum in a Growing Market

The company’s recurring revenue has tripled over the past six months, reflecting the rapid growth of renewable technologies in Europe. Co-founder Lars-Manuel Schneider highlighted the company’s ambition to empower installers with the tools they need to compete and succeed in a fast-evolving market.

Investor Confidence in Reonic’s Vision

Northzone’s Principal, Markus Gleim, emphasized the importance of the energy transition, stating that Reonic’s software not only simplifies renewable technology adoption but also plays a crucial role in advancing sustainability. Northzone Partner Jessica Schultz added that Reonic’s end-to-end platform meets the growing complexity of renewable energy projects, positioning the company as a leader in the space.
