The investment was spearheaded by the Paris and New York-based impact investment firm blisce/, with additional support from Vorwerk Ventures.
Blisce/, a certified B Corp, brings a strong commitment to social and environmental responsibility, aligning with Sorella’s mission to address significant public health challenges faced by women. Vorwerk Ventures, known for its investments in hybrid health focusing on the future of health, food, and climate, also joins the round, supporting Sorella’s innovative approach to women’s health.
Addressing the Healthcare Journey Dropout Rate
Alexandre Mars, Founder and CEO of blisce/, highlighted the alarming statistic that 60% of women in France drop out from their healthcare journey, underscoring the need for Sorella’s multidisciplinary and hybrid model that combines physical and digital solutions to reinvent women’s health care.
Expanding the Network of Health Clinics
With the new funding, Sorella plans to enhance coordinated care, improve its digital platform, and expand its network of multidisciplinary health clinics for women. The startup aims to open three new clinics in 2024, with a vision to establish a total of 12 across France by 2026.
A Hybrid Care System for Women
Founded in 2022 by Clémence Lejeune, Jeanne Theuret, and Youssef Benhaddou, Sorella offers a network of multidisciplinary health spaces dedicated to women, providing comprehensive care pathways by specialized healthcare professionals from puberty to post-menopause. The company emphasizes patient prioritization, offering a welcoming and secure environment for care coordination inspired by hospital practices.
Virtual and In-Person Clinics
Sorella’s hybrid care system integrates technology to streamline healthcare workflows, enhancing information sharing, offering preventive measures, and facilitating health screenings. The platform covers a wide range of specialties, including gynecology, cardiology, general medicine, physiotherapy, psychology, and dietetics, capable of welcoming up to 10,000 patients annually.
